Wish we had something like this in Tassie, you find down here that people re very clicky and if you dont fit the mould of what a selected few think is good/cute enough you don't get included,oh but they will get you to rush in an application just in case they might miss out of something really amazing sigh,assholes really !! sorry you can delete this rant if you want, I just get really disappointed with people alot down here ! screw them i will organise my own market/ art sale! and cute shit need not apply!ok hit delete NOW!

Hey Ruby, I won't be deleting this coz' I do know how you feel...I live on the Central Coast & although only an hour away from the Big smoke I too can find myself disjointed or as you put it "out of the click". The same artists getting the same gigs, time after time. Don't worry about not fitting the mould, that makes you and what you do unique & all I can say is fuck 'em...and even if you are in the "click" there are clicks within the click!....Just keep on chippin away and you don't know what's around the corner. I've been doin this for years now and until recently with this Art Market was getting little or no exposure. I have also noticed people are far more encouraging and willing to feature/publish my art from other countries than in my own backyard, Sad but true. Anyway,you may have to take things into your own hands and start your own market in Tazzie and cull all that cute shit!

after I wrote what I did I felt like a spiteful bitch oh well you get that dont you lol
We went to the market just out of curiouity and it was as I expected ,full of dolly birds selling stuff that all looked the same and no room to move cos they were more worried about the props to make their stalls look cute aaaargh the high light of the market was Ruby my daughter got all stressed cos there was no room to move as all the stalls were crammed together to make it see cosy but roo freaked out and screamed the place down, we left our mark hahah we left satisfied lol gee Im a bitch !!
It is going to be interesting in the next couple of months as I have acquired alot of letterpress type and I am getting a press over from England,We have kept it very quiet, no one here is doing letterpress here as it is too dificult to get equipment so I imagine people will come looking when I start advertising and selling lol
